Introduction

is a 1989 film directed by . Set in 1959 and tells the story of English professor John Keating, who inspires his students at Welton Academy to a love of poetry and teaches them to overcome their reluctance to make changes in their lives. The film won the Academy Award for Writing Original Screenplay, and was nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role, Best Director and Best Picture.
