Boot worship

Boot worship is a term for the practice of extreme adulation of boots in BDSM, especially in female domination.

It is related to foot worship in a derivative way, in that the adulation may really be attributable to the proximity of the boots to their owner. If the foot is usually considered one of the "lowest" and least appreciated parts of the body, the "sub"'s reverence for the footwear that encloses it is a concrete admission of inferiority.

Thus boot worship may include sniffing or inhaling from worn boots, as well as licking, kissing or cleaning their exteriors. It may also consist, more passively, of lying prone and being "trampled". Heeled boots may lend themselves to sucking, in an approximation of fellatio.

on the rebellious mind that seeks to become God by the annihilation of the individual. Dragon Rouge is feministic and strongly believes in Lilith, which according to their belief is the first of Adam's wives.

The order explores kabbalism, goetic magic, Odinistic rune magic alchemy and tantrism. Members also read old Norse mysticism and texts by Aleister Crowley, Friedrich Nietzsche and Herakleitos, among others.

Many people familiar with, or members of, Dragon Rouge think the order owes much of its remarkable popularity (by the standards of magical orders), and some of its members, to the successful band Therion, whose leader is a leading member of Dragon Rouge and use its ideas in their songs.

There are three different circles within Dragon Rouge:

The degrees in their hierarchy have the same names as the elements in the Tree of Death, the Qliphoth. (The reason why there is two degrees with the name Thaumiel is because this qliphoth is supposed to have two heads.)

The following piece of text is taken from the Dragon Rouge homepage:

The philosophy of Dragon Rouge consists of the left hand path and its ideology. The left hand path is based on a philosophy which defines two main spiritual paths. One is the right hand path. It has influenced most forms of religion and mass movements. Its method is the light magic and its goal is the annihilation of the individual and to become one with God. The other path is the left hand path. It denotes the unique, the deviant and the exclusive. Its method is the dark magic and antinomianism (to go against the grain). The dark magical goal is to become a god.
