Union of Orthodox Congregations

The Orthodox Union or Union of Orthodox Congregations is a Jewish organization that primarily serves the North American Jewish community. It was founded in 1898 by Dr. Henry Pereira Mendes, then the spiritual leader of the Spanish & Portuguese Synagogue in New York City.
