Treaty of Córdoba

The Treaty of Córdoba gave Mexico independence from Spain.

It was signed August 24 1821 in Córdoba, Veracruz, Mexico.

The signatories were the Mexican revolutionary Augustín de Iturbide and Juan de O'Donojú on behalf of the Spanish king Ferdinand VII.
