Transduction (genetics)

Transduction is the process in which DNA is moved from one bacterium to another. This process occours due to a bacteriophage which is a virus capable of infecting bacteria [[cell (biology)|cell]s, the same process occurs in any virus infected cells; self-replication is achieved via lysis of the bacterial cell.
