The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2 is a movie that attempts to cross the genres of horror and comedy. The movie's plot revolves around a character named Leatherface, the villain of the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, returning to murder more people and falling in love with a potential victim.

The film had a much larger budget than it's predecessor, and boasted gore effects by fx maestro Tom Savini. The film was critically and commercially panned at its release, though it has become a cult film in its own right. It remains one of director Tobe Hooper's most polarizing films; the defenders call it a brilliant and blackly hysterical movie while the decriers label it a gratuitous, over-the-top gorefest.
