Tarzana, Los Angeles, California

Tarzana is a district in "the Valley" section of Los Angeles, California. It was founded in 1922 and renamed Tarzana in 1927. It is named after "Tarzan of the Apes" because the author of the Tarzan series, Edgar Rice Burroughs owned the ranch that was later subdivided into the neighborhood.
