Suzdal

Suzdal (Су́здаль) is a town in Vladimir Oblast, Russia, in 26 km from the city of Vladimir, on river Kamenka.

The town has been known since the year 1024. For centuries it was capital of several Russian principalities.

The town is an important tourist center, featuring many nice examples of old Russian architecture.
