Stolichnaya vodka

Stolichnaya is a Russian vodka produced from winter wheat in Russia's oldest distillery, using what the company says are pure glacial waters. It is filtered through quartz sand, then activated charcoal, and finally through quartz sand again. It is affectionately called Stoli.

Stolichnaya was first created in 1953 in Cristall Distillary in Moscow. Since 2001, Stolichnaya trademark has been an object of a dispute between the "Soiuzplodimport" (SPI) company and the government of Russia.
