Spanish scale
The Spanish scale (also the Jewish scale) is commonly used in Hebrew prayers and in Spanish music.It is constructed by:
- Raising the third of the Phrygian scale (the third mode)
- Lowering the second, sixth, and seventh of a Major scale
- H -3 H W H W W
- H = Half Step
- W = Whole Step
- -3 = Minor third or three half steps
