Second Intermediate Period of Egypt

The Second Intermediate Period marked a time when Ancient Egypt once again fell into disarray after the end of the Middle Kingdom. It is best known as when the Hyksos ruled Egypt.

This period came to an end with the start of the New Kingdom.
