Schoeneus

In Greek mythology, Schoeneus was the name of several individuals:

  1. Schoeneus was a Boeotian king, the son of Athamas and Themisto. He was the father of Atalanta by Clymene.
  2. Schoeneus was the son of Autonous and Hippodamia. When his brother Anthus was killed by their father's horses, Zeus and Apollo pitied Schoeneus and transformed him into a bird.
  3. Schoeneus was the father of Clymenus of Arcadia.
