Saint-Gilles within the Brussels-Capital Region

Saint-Gilles (French), or Sint-Gillis (Dutch) is one of the nineteen municipalities located in the Brussels-Capital Region of Belgium.

On 1 January 2000 the municipality had a total population of 42,458 (21,511 males and 20,947 females). The total area is 2.51 km² which gives a population density of 16,915.54 inhabitants per km².
