Rembrandt Peale

Rembrandt Peale (22 February, 1778 - 3 October, 1860) was a United States Neoclassical painter.

Peale was born in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, the second son of Charles Willson Peale, also a well known professional artist. He spent most of his career in Philadelphia.

Peale is best known for his portraits of such prominent Americans as George Washington and Thomas Jefferson.
