Pitikwahanapiwiyin

Pitikwahanapiwiyin (or Poundmaker) (1842-1886) was a Plains Cree chief. Involved in the Northwest Rebellion, he was tried for treason in 1885, and served a year's sentence in Stony Mountain Penitentiary. He died four months after his release of a lung haemorrhage.
