Ping Chau

Ping Chau (平洲) or Tung Ping Chau is an island of Hong Kong, located in the north-east of the territory, in Mirs Bay. Area: 1.16 km².

Ping Chau is much closer to Mainland China than it is to Hong Kong.

The island has a temple dedicated to Tin Hau.

Transportation

Ping Chau has an helipad
the island is reachable by ferry from Ma Liu Shui ferry pier, near the Chinese University of Hong Kong. The ferry trip takes approximately 1.5 hour one way.
