Petaling Jaya

Satellite town of Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia and arguably Selangor's largest town although it was never officially declared as a city.Its population in 2000 is 650,000 inhabitants and is the centre hub of the Klang Valley.It was first developed by the British as an answer to the problem of overpopulation in Kuala Lumpur in 1950 and has since witnessed a dramatic growth in terms of population size and geographical importance.
