Perth Zoo
The Perth Zoo opened in Perth, Australia in 1898 with two lions, a tiger and six staff members. The zoo has been open every day since.Currently the zoo houses more than 1,500 animals. Unlike most zoos, the Perth Zoo is open 365 days a year.
Major exhibits include The African Savannah, the Asian Rainforest Zone, Australian Walkabout, the World of Birds, and The Nocturnal House.
