Pasteur Institute

The Pasteur Institute (French: Institut Pasteur) is a French non-profit private foundation dedicated to the study of biology, microorganisms, ailments and vaccines. It is named after Louis Pasteur.

It was inaugurated in 1888.

The Institute has three spheres of activity:

  • scientific research in biology
  • education
  • public health activities, including a medical center (with strong expertise infectious and tropical diseases, vaccinations for travellers...)
