Pacific-Antarctic Ridge

The Pacific-Antarctic Ridge is an oceanic ridge at the boundary between the Pacific and Antarctic Plates. Convection currents in the earth's mantle are causing the plates to separate, creating new crust at a rate of approximately 3cm each year.
