Outing

Outing can refer to
  • a short trip, such as a picnic, or a shopping trip.
  • the forcible or purposeful revelation another person's secrets. Forcible outing is normally considered a serious breach of trust and is taken gravely in a great many communities, especially those suffering political oppression. See The Closet and coming out.
