Namur (city)

Namur (Namen in Dutch) is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Namur, of which it is the capital. It is also the capital of Wallonia, one of the three federal regions of Belgium. On January 1st, 2002 Namur had a total population of 105,393 (50,363 males and 55,030 females). The total area is 175.75 km² which gives a population density of 599.68 inhabitants per km².
