Macquarie Island
Macquarie Island is located at 54° 30' S, 158° 57' E in the Southern Ocean, or about halfway between Australia and Antarctica. It is part of the state of Tasmania.The Australian Antarctic Division (AAD) maintain a permanent base on the island.
