Joaquim Chissano

Joaquim Alberto Chissano (born 22 October 1939) is the president of Mozambique. He was involved in the Frelimo movement in the 1960s, was the foreign minister of the country from 1975 until 1987, and has been president of the country since 1986. He won multi-party elections in 1994 and 1999.
