Indonesian Democratic Party - Struggle

The Indonesian Democratic Party - Struggle (PDI-P) is a political party in Indonesia, the current ruling party.

It was formed in 1996 as a split from the Indonesian Democratic Party or PDI, who had attempted to oust Megawati Sukarnoputri. She founded the PDI-P instead, and took most of the membership and support of the PDI with her.
