Indic
The term Indic is used to designate Indian languages. Sometimes definitions of Indic languages include the linguistic precursors (Mitanni) and offspring of such languages.Indic languages include, in rough sequence:
- Mitanni (Eastern Anatolia)
- Vedic
- Sanskrit and the various Sanskrit-related languages included under the term Prakrit
- Hindi
