Hagåtña, Guam

Hagåtña (formerly Agaña) is the capital of Guam. According to the 2000 Census, it has a population of 1,100.

In 1998, the territorial legislature changed the name from Agaña (pronounced Aganja (SAMPA)) to Hagåtña to more closely match the Chamorro/Chamoru pronunciation.

The city is served by Antonio B. Won Pat International Airport in Tamuning.
