Great Orme

The Great Orme is a limestone headland on the north coast of Wales, and is situated near Llandudno, Conwy.

The Great Orme Mine was one of the most important copper mines of the Bronze Age, and was worked until the end of the 19th century. It is possible that some of the copper from the mine was exported to the Continent even in the Bronze Age. Today it is open to the public.
