Governorates of Lebanon

Lebanon is divided into 10 governorates (mohafazat, singular - mohafazah). Each governoate has several counties. (capitals in parentheses):

  • Beyrouth (Beirut)
  • Béqaa (Zahlé)
  • Liban-Nord (Tripoli)
  • Liban-Sud (Sidon)
  • Mont-Liban (Baabda)
  • Nabatîyé (Nabatîyé)
  • Akkar (Akkar)
  • Hermel (Hermel)
  • Kseroan (Kseroan)
  • Chouf (Beittedine)
