Gare du Nord

The Gare du Nord is a busy public transport hub in Paris, France.

Located in the 10th arrondissement a few kilometres north of the centre of Paris, it includes a railway station, metro station and bus station.

Construction started in 1861 and was fully completed in 1866, though the station was functioning by 1864. As the name implies this station is for trains heading north, including international trains to London (see Eurostar), Brussels, Amsterdam (see Thalys), and also destinations in North Germany and the Scandinavian countries. It also provides service to destinations within northern France.
