Gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) is a rare essential fatty acid that exists primarily in plant-produced oils. Essential fatty acids are essential to people's health. Unlike many other fatty acids, an ordinary human could not produce them and they have to be taken from foods.GLA is usually found in evening primrose oil, black currant seed oil, and borage oil.
