Centre, Haiti

Centre is one of the nine departments of Haiti, located in the center of the country, along the border with the Dominican Republic. It has an area of 3,675 kmē and a population of 564,200 (2002). Its capital is Hinche. It borders the Dominican Republic to the east.

The department is divided in 4 arrondissements:

  1. Cerca la Source
  2. Hinche
  3. Lascahobas
  4. Mirebalais
