Card magic

Card magic is the art of creating illusions with a deck or packet of playing cards. It is a common feature of performance magic and street magic.

Card magic is one of the oldest and most widely practiced forms of magic. Playing cards are an inexpensive and verstile prop for magis practitioners. Although magicians have created and presented thousands of different card tricks, they are all built upon fewer than a hundred basic principles and techniques. These principles and techniques can be categorized into a handful of types:
