The maximum width of the Arabian Sea is stipulated to 2,400 km, and its maximum depth is about 5,000 metres. The Indus River is the largest stream flowing into the sea.
In the northwest it connects to the Gulf of Oman which in turn connects to the Persian Gulf.
The countries with coastlines on the Arabian Sea are India, Iran, Oman, Pakistan, Yemen, and United Arab Emirates.
