Alexander Lebed

Alexander Lebed (April 20, 1950 - April 28, 2002) was a Russian general and politician. He was very popular for his honesty and effectiveness, and at the time of his death many people thought he would be the next President of Russia. He was killed in a Mi-8 helicopter crash in April 2002.
