1988 Democratic National Convention

The 1988 Democratic National Convention was held in Atlanta, Georgia in July of 1988. At the convention Michael Dukakis was nominated for United States President and Lloyd Bentsen for United States Vice President.

Other notable events: John F. Kennedy, Jr spoke, as well as Jesse Jackson. Ann Richards gave the keynote speech that put her in the public spotlight. Bill Clinton gave a 32-minute long speech that almost ruined his poltical career.
